Kew Gardens

Awe and wonder aplenty at one of our favourite destinations, Kew is a wondrous Botanical Garden and a gorgeous family day out.

It is London's largest UNESCO World Heritage Site and it all started back in 1759 when Princess Augusta, mother of King George III, founded a nine-acre botanic garden within the pleasure grounds at Kew. As soon as you arrive it certainly doesn’t feel like you’re in a city, it transports you to somewhere beautiful and magical even. There’s an incredible walkway as high as the treetops, thousands of different types and varieties of plants to admire and the most beautiful gardens that are a delight for all the senses. There are also cafes for a bite to eat or a hot chocolate on a Wintery day. Make sure to visit the huge arboretum and also the Alpine rock garden too. There is much history and beauty at Kew and all only 30 minutes from central London.

Entry tickets are approx £18 for adults and £6 for little ones.
