Who gives a crap toilet paper…
Who…
Who gives a crap are an amazing brand of toilet paper which we use in our nurseries and we know is popular with our families too. First of all, it's funny, which we love.
And secondly, this is another company which started out with a strong purpose to make a difference. Who Gives A Crap was started when the founders learnt that 2.4 billion people don't have access to a toilet (now 2 billion – yay for progress!). That's roughly 40% of the global population and means that around 289,000 children under five die every year from diarrhoeal diseases caused by poor water and sanitation. That's almost 800 children per day, or one child every two minutes.
So in July 2012, Simon, Jehan and Danny launched Who Gives A Crap through crowdfunding. Simon sat on a toilet in their draughty warehouse and refused to move until they had raised enough pre-orders to start production. 50 hours and one cold bottom later, they’d raised over $50,000.
What…
There is a good selection of toilet paper to choose from and they have a range which includes 100% Bamboo toilet paper,; the most elegant toilet paper ever. Their products are soft and strong and look amazing in your loo and for those who are looking for the most eco-friendly option, they also have 100% recycled paper too. Comfy and competitively priced.
They also have tissues available and reusable cloths too which are an excellent alternative to kitchen roll.
The cloths are one part sponge, one part cloth and three parts marvellous, reusable and washable.
Why…
The toilet paper is comfortable and their products are all plastic free. The snazzy packaging is just so beautiful and fun. There is also free delivery on most orders too. And rather incredibly, this company also donate 50% of their profits to help build toilets and improve sanitation in the developing world. This is such an amazing thing to do, and we want as many families to support them as possible to help make a difference in the world.
Though they’re still growing, and now make more than just toilet paper, they always want to stay true to their roots: toilet humor and making the world a better place.
Who gives a crap? They do.
